For Blaine: Dalton bros

David has only been at Dalton for a few weeks now, but already he has heard about the Warblers. So when he hears acapella strains wafting down the hall, his curiosity gets the better of him, and he follows them.

He stays in the doorway, leaning against the frame a little, to watch the group as they sing.

"I am, yes." He smiled and offered his hand. "David Posner, English. I've just started this year."

Blaine shook his hand. "Blaine Anderson, assistant show choir adviser. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Ah," David said with an amused smirk. "You're the famous Blaine Anderson."

[mediumdrip]

Blaine looked a little embarrassed at that. "Oh, yes. I guess people around here talk about me?"

"Well," he said, a little sheepish. "The Warblers are, I'm told, quite an institution here, and you appear to be their most recent star. Everyone was very pleased to have you back."

"I'm happy to help," Blaine said, giving David a small smile. "How are you finding Dalton? It's always been an important place to me."

"It's been lovely so far," he answered, glancing around as though still evaluating. "Quite different to what I'm used to, but an interesting change."

"What are you used to?" Blaine asks, curious.

[postponing_death]

He shrugged. "The British school system is...somewhat differently structured."

Shaking his head, he added, "How is it coming back?" He didn't want to make this all about him.

"Good," Blaine said with a smile. "I really needed this place to put some perspective back into my life." Then, after a moment, "Did you want to get a coffee or something? You could tell me about the British school system without having to stand around the Warbler's practice room."

David laughed quietly. "If you really want to hear about it? I'd imagine that's rather boring."

And then, before he could talk himself out of it, he added, "But I suppose I could do coffee."

"I do," Blaine said sincerely as he lead the way to the cafe. "Or at least tell me about yourself."

"That may be even more boring," David quipped dryly, content to follow Blaine. He didn't know the area terribly well just yet.

"You're from England, aren't you?" Blaine asked curiously.

[postponing_death]

"I am," David agreed with a smile. "I forget sometimes that's inherently interesting."

[mediumdrip]

"Well, it is a foreign country to us," Blaine pointed out. "At least you get an attractive accent."

"I quite like your accent," David admitted, blushing a bit as he did.

[mediumdrip]

Blaine grinned at that. "Do you? I never considered that before..."

He shrugged, looking away a little sheepishly. "Anything unfamiliar is exotic, I suppose."

"Is that what you think of America?"

[postponing_death]

"A bit, I suppose," he answered thoughtfully. "I have always wanted to travel. This is the furthest from home I've been."

"Where is home? I mean, what part of then country."

[postponing_death]

"Sheffield? It's where I grew up, anyway. I was teaching in Bristol before I came here."

[mediumdrip]

"I have no idea where Sheffield is," he admits honestly, but the clueless look on his face is pretty cute. "Though I've heard of Bristol."

He smiled at that expression, holding the door for Blaine when they reached the coffee shop. "It's in the north. You aren't missing out on much."
